Confessions of a Recovering Clutter Bug đ§šâ¨
Can I make a confession?
Iâve always been a bit of a keeper. A stacker. A âjust-in-caseâ kind of gal.
Okay, maybe more than a bit. đ
Growing up, I lived in a home where nothing was ever thrown out. My mom kept everythingâand I mean everything. From old school papers to buttons that âmight come in handy someday,â our house was overflowing with stuff. It was clean, mind you, but full.
And for years, I carried that mindset with me.
But lately, Iâve been on a journey to simplify. Not just my home, but my mindset too. Because letâs be honestâthe idea that more stuff equals more happiness? Itâs a myth. A sneaky one. And I fell for it, like many of us do.
What I've Learned Along the Way
As I started letting goâslowly, intentionallyâI realized something powerful: when we clear the clutter, we make room for what really matters.
⨠We make space for connection.
⨠We rediscover joy in the little things.
⨠We breathe a little easier.
Itâs not just about organizing or downsizing. Itâs about creating a home that reflects the life you want to liveânot the one youâre weighed down by.
I wonât lie: itâs a process. Iâm still working through it myself. But with each small decisionâeach item donated or recycledâIâve noticed a shift. I feel lighter. Calmer. More focused on what truly matters.
This is What I Want for My Clients Too
As someone who helps people transition into smaller spaces and new chapters, this mindset shift isnât just personalâitâs professional.
Whether youâre downsizing, relocating, or just feeling overwhelmed by âtoo much,â I want to help you find clarity and calm. Not just by decluttering, but by redefining what âhomeâ means to you.
A home that lifts you upânot one that buries you in bins.
